A historic, $700 million bequest from Florence Irving and her late husband Herbert will have a profound impact on research and clinical care.
The Irvings' extraordinary philanthropy will be felt across a wide range of scientific disciplines, including cancer genomics, immunology, computational biology, pathology, and biomedical engineering.

Florence Irving and her late husband, Herbert Irving, have given $700 million to Columbia University in the City of New York and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital to dramatically advance research and clinical programs for the treatment of cancer.
Their donation builds on three decades of support for Columbia University Medical Center and the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center.
